Why work with a local automation agency

Automation looks the same in a pitch deck. In practice, it only works if the person building it understands your actual operation — the shop, the crew, the neighborhood, the customer expectations.

Working with a local agency means we can sit in your office, see how your front desk actually routes calls, and watch your real workflow before we propose a system. Remote delivery is fine for many clients — but Utah operators get the option of in-person, which closes a lot of gaps that show up later with offshore or remote-only agencies.

Based in Murray, building for the Wasatch Front

Martello Systems is headquartered in Murray, Utah — a few minutes south of downtown Salt Lake City. That matters for one reason: when we say "local," we mean a short drive, not a different time zone with a "Salt Lake City office" listed on a website that's actually a virtual mailbox.

For Wasatch Front operators — Salt Lake City proper, Sandy, Draper, West Valley, Murray, Holladay, Cottonwood Heights, Sugar House, Park City, Lehi, American Fork, Provo — we offer in-person discovery sessions. Most automation projects live or die on the gap between what you describe in a kickoff call and what actually happens at the front desk. Watching your team work for an hour usually reveals the real workflow.

For everyone else — Ogden, Logan, St. George, the rest of the country — we run discovery on video and ship the same caliber of system. The in-person option is a benefit, not a requirement.

What we build for Utah service businesses

Every system below is custom-configured to your shop. We start by mapping your existing workflow, then build the automation around it.

Lead-capture and qualification

Phone calls, web forms, Google Business Profile messages, and walk-ins all flow into one place. Leads get qualified, routed, and assigned without your front desk juggling a notepad and three browser tabs.

Booking and confirmation flows

Online booking with the right calendar windows, automatic confirmations, and reminder sequences that actually reduce no-shows. Two-way SMS so customers can reschedule themselves instead of calling the office.

Intake automation

New customers get a structured intake form before they arrive. The first interaction with your team is the actual job — not paperwork. Works for medical, beauty, trades, and any service that requires customer details up front.

Follow-up and recall sequences

Lapsed customers get re-engaged on a schedule that matches their service interval. HVAC tune-ups, dental cleanings, chiro re-exams, salon appointments — recall is the highest-ROI automation most operators don't have.

Review automation

Post-service review request, sent at the moment the customer is most satisfied. Negative-feedback intercept so problems route to you instead of Google. Steady review velocity is the cheapest local-SEO lever in service businesses.

AI chat and voice routing

Website chatbots that answer the common questions and book the consultation. Voice-AI answering systems for after-hours overflow. Designed to hand off to a human the moment the conversation needs one.

How we work with Utah operators

Free 30-minute consultation. We learn your workflow, identify the leak, and tell you whether automation is the right fix. If it isn't, we'll say so. About a third of the calls we take end with "you don't need an agency, you need a different scheduling tool" — and we point them to the right one.

Discovery (1–2 weeks). For local clients, this is on-site. For remote clients, it's a structured set of video sessions plus a workflow questionnaire. We map your existing process, identify the manual touchpoints, and propose the build.

Build (2–4 weeks). We construct the system on GoHighLevel where it's the right tool, or directly via API where a more custom approach is needed. You see weekly progress; we don't disappear for a month and surface with a giant reveal.

Launch and handoff. Your team gets trained on the new system. We run a 30-day stabilization period where we monitor and tune. After that, you can keep us on retainer for ongoing changes, or take it over fully — your choice, no lock-in.

Honest positioning

We're a small Utah-based agency, not a 50-person shop. That means you talk to the person building your system, your project doesn't get handed to a junior, and decisions happen the same day. It also means we're selective about who we take on. If you need an agency that can run 30 simultaneous client engagements, we're not it. If you want a focused build by an operator who'll know your business by name, we are.

Questions Utah operators ask

Yes. Martello Systems is headquartered in Murray, Utah — a few minutes south of downtown Salt Lake City. We work with operators across the Wasatch Front in person and serve clients nationally over video.
No. Most of our clients are remote. The benefit of working with a local agency if you are in Utah is that we can sit with your team in person during the discovery phase, which tends to surface workflow details that get missed on video calls.
We start with a free 30-minute consultation to understand the workflow gap. If it is a fit, we run a short discovery (often on-site for Utah clients) to map the existing process, then build a custom automation system on GoHighLevel or directly via API. Most builds go live in 2–4 weeks.
Service businesses are our specialty because the patterns repeat — booking, intake, follow-up, recall, review automation. We have done work outside that space when the workflow is the right shape, but if you are a service operator we will move faster because we have built the patterns before.
Three things. One: we will sit in your shop if you are local — most national agencies will not. Two: we are small, which means the person who designs the system is the person who builds it. Three: we own the work end to end. There is no offshore handoff.
